I’m not only a fifth generation Kansan, but the fifth generation of our family to grow up in West Sedgwick County and Senate District 26. My wife McKenna and I have three children. Our family is a part of the parish at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. My commitment to life and faith has led our family to grow through adoption. My wife and I have two adopted sons. My oldest son Desmond now attends school in the same district that my parents, in-laws, wife, and I attended growing up in the district.
My start in politics grew out of a strong belief in the right to life. My faith guides me in all that I do, and my faith led me to be active in the pro-life cause as a participant in the national March for Life in Washington, DC and the Kansas March for Life in Topeka each year.
I also live out the values of my faith by volunteering with local organizations in our community. I have been active in the local community serving on the board of the Northwest YMCA and am a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. I have also had the privilege of serving as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 10+ years. I have also volunteered for over 10 years at the Lords Diner, along with other homeless ministries.
In addition to my volunteer work I am also a proud member of the NRA and the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau.
I am running to ensure that Kansas retains our faith, family values, and community so that our three children can raise their families in West Sedgwick County and have the same opportunities that my wife McKenna and I had.
